Therapy Process

My approach to counseling comes form an Adlerian or Individual Psychology Theoretical Perspective. Adlerian theory views clients from a wholistic aspect, conceptualizing their presenting concern from a social lens. Adlerian therapist view clients not as ill, but as discouraged by their current life perspective and experiences. Due to this viewpoint, encouragement & therapeutic relationship are used as vital interventions. Client treatment is action-based, focused towards developing new insights and goals of behavior

Countryside Road

Our lived experiences are unique and through these experiences, we build personal perceptions about self, others, and the world. Through our sessions, we will explore your unique world and what interventions best suit your therapy goals as you begin to process your perceptions, and how they influence your presenting issues. I believe in the creativity of clients and their ability to reconstruct their present realities. My role in therapy is to be a guide during your process and not an expert. I aim to empower my clients and assist them in building self-confidence & the courage needed to try new behaviors and challenge old perceptions.
